Building on past success, the School of Business has made the pathway through the Business Administrative programs more flexible. There are nowÌýthree credentialsÌýthat allow you to progress from aÌýcertificateÌýto aÌýdiplomaÌýto anÌýapplied degreeÌýand you can apply, exit and return at any stage.

What to expect

TheÌýprogram consists of 40ÌýcoursesÌýwhich can be completed in approximately fourÌýyears if taken on a full-time basis. Evening and daytime classes are held predominantly at the Interurban campus and the program can be taken on a part-time basis.

Year 1

In your first year, you’ll work through introductory–level courses in accounting, finance, economics, and marketing. Exit the program now with aÌýBusiness Administration certificateÌý´Ç°ù continue on to Year 2.

Year 2

In your second year, you'll take courses in financial accounting, statistics, corporate finance, and business law. Exit the program now with aÌýBusiness Administration diplomaÌý´Ç°ù continue on to Year 3.

Year 3

In your third year, you'll continue your studies in financial and management cost accounting and auditing.

Year 4

For your fourth year, you'll be taking courses in accounting theory, income tax, applied professional practiceÌýin order to graduate with aÌýBachelor of Business Administration, Accounting major.

Co-operative Education optionÌý

Apply your classroom skills in the workplace and bring your workplace skills back to the classroom!ÌýÌýWhen you engage in co-operative education, you get an early start on preparing for your career after graduation! You will have the opportunity to alternate between full-time studies and full-time paid work where you can bring your applied classroom learning to life.

To participate in Co-operative Education, prior to your first work term you will need to successfully complete

  • Eight (8) first year courses, with a cumulativeÌýGPAÌýof 3.0 (C+), and
  • the workshop seriesÌýCDEV-WPS
